Webinar: June 18, 2010

Course Code: 00-0453-0100

A long list of government bodies around the world require formal certification of products and services.  Trade
associations, consumers groups and other organizations offer voluntary standards and guidelines for a wide range of goods and services.  When done properly, compliance with these requirements can broaden your product’s market, ensure compliance with regulations and laws, and protect you from future product liability issues.

This course will provide an introduction to the certification process, show you how to determine which certification or
compliance processes may apply to your product, and discuss how certification can give you a competitive edge.  Managing a certification process within your firm will be briefly discussed.

Who would benefit from this course: Product development engineers, designers and managers; new business development managers; risk managers.  Companies thinking of expanding or modifying their product line, or attempting to break into new export markets, will especially benefit.
