CATEF - California Air Toxics Emission Factor Database
The California Air Toxics Emission Factor (CATEF) database contains approximately 2000 air toxics emission factors calculated from source test data collected for the Air Toxics Hot Spots Program. CATEF is the product of a research project completed by General Electric Energy and Environmental Research for the Air Resources Board (ARB). We believe that the CATEF database will be of great assistance in estimating air toxics emissions, especially to those individuals and facilities operators required to report air toxics emissions for the Air Toxics Hot Spots Program.

Environmental History of Latin America
Thanks to contributions from several colleagues, the Online Bibliography on Environmental History of Latin America has now well over 400 references, among articles, books, videos and WebPages in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Most references have been double-checked with at least two sources to make sure they were accurate and pertinent, though we have adopted a rather broad definition for environmental history. We have included some (not many!) classic works by Crosby, Sauer, Buarque de Holanda, Ciro Cardoso. However we have focused rather on recent works (last 15 years), that would not be easily found in traditional bibliographies.

MEA Database: Matrix on Trade Measures Pursuant to Selected Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs)
To provide background information on MEAs, the WTO Secretariat has prepared a note containing a matrix on trade-related measures pursuant to selected MEAs. The note prepared initially in 2000 was updated in 2001 and 2003. The present update of the Matrix provides information on the 14 MEAs that were covered in the two previous versions (WT/CTE/W/160/Rev.1 of 14 June 2001 and Rev.2 of 25 April 2003). The Secretariat has prepared this Matrix in consultation with the Secretariats of the relevant MEAs.

The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species
The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species provides taxonomic, conservation status and distribution information on taxa that have been globally evaluated using the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria. This system is designed to determine the relative risk of extinction, and the main purpose of the IUCN Red List is to catalogue and highlight those taxa that are facing a higher risk of global extinction (i.e. those listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered and Vulnerable). The IUCN Red List also includes information on taxa that are categorized as Extinct or Extinct in the Wild; on taxa that cannot be evaluated because of insufficient information (i.e. are Data Deficient); and on taxa that are either close to meeting the threatened thresholds or that would be threatened were it not for an ongoing taxon-specific conservation programme (i.e. Near Threatened).

US Geological Survey (USGS National Water-Quality Assessment Program (NAWQA)
Since 1991, USGS scientists with the NAWQA programme have been collecting and analyzing data and information from more than 50 major river basins and aquifers across the country. The goal is to develop long-term consistent and comparable information on streams, groundwater, and aquatic ecosystems to support sound management and policy decisions. The NAWQA programme is designed to answer these questions:
What is the condition of the country’s streams and ground water?
How are these conditions changing over time?
How do natural features and human activities affect these conditions?
