EastEuro Link will host CEE Renewables Conference in Prague on 28th March 2008.
While global renewable energy markets are experiencing dramatic growth, the countries of Central and Southeast Europe are challenged to comply with the EU renewable targets for 2010. Putting in place the right legislative and regulatory framework is a priority which can lead to an expansion of renewable energies only if integrated into a broader investment strategy.
This conference will identify the key obstacles to the wider use of renewable energies and it will focus on practical solutions to overcome these barriers. In bringing together the key decision-makers from the fields of energy, environment, development and planning, financiers, regulators and investors, the conference features all renewable energy issues including: Wind, Biofuels, Biomass & Bioenergy, Solar, Geothermal.
Creating a framework in which developed countries support the emerging CEE renewable markets in exchange for the global benefit of greener, smarter growth requires a long-term equitable global regulatory framework to reduce greenhouse emissions. Moving to a low carbon path, promoting Green Investment Schemes and linking the emission-trading revenues to low-carbon investments in the CEE countries are also some of the issues that this conference will tackle.
