In the midst of a historic Presidential Inauguration, more than 250 of the nation's mayors, led by U.S. Conference of Mayors President Miami, FL, Mayor Manny Diaz, will convene for the 77th Winter Meeting of The U.S. Conference of Mayors from Saturday, January 17 - Monday, January 19, at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Mayors are available to respond the proposed Obama Economic Recovery Plan.

The mayors also released a report that forecasts possible job losses for 2009 by the 363 individual metropolitan economies, where 85% of the people in this country live, which includes some areas that may not see any new job growth for an entire decade.

Confirmed speakers for Monday Include: President Bill Clinton, AK Senator Mark Begich, House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair James Oberstar (MN), Chairman of the House Census Committee William Clay (MO), CA Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, NYC Mayor Bloomberg, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Providence Mayor David Cicilline, Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, National Urban League President and CEO Marc Morial, T. Boone Pickens and George Soros of the Open Society Institute.
